milebook ("the app") is developed and published by CodeWired007 ("we", "us"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles and how.
When you create a local account, the app stores a username, a securely hashed and salted password (your plain-text password is never stored), and any email address or phone number you optionally add to your profile.
As you use the app, it stores the shift, vehicle, and expense records you enter, along with any photos you attach (odometer readings, receipts, and your profile picture).
Everything you enter is used solely to provide the app's core functionality: tracking your shifts, mileage, and expenses, and generating reports (including CSV/PDF exports) for your own record-keeping and tax purposes.
milebook stores all of your data locally on your device. The app does not use a cloud backend and does not transmit your records, photos, or account details to any external server.
On-device text recognition (used to help auto-fill odometer readings) runs entirely on your device and never sends your photos or their contents anywhere.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with any third party. Nothing you enter into the app leaves your device.
Your data stays on your device for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile > Danger zone > Delete account. Deleting your account permanently removes all associated records — shifts, expenses, vehicle details, and photos — from your device. This cannot be undone, so download any reports you need before deleting your account.
Since milebook has no server or cloud backend, there is no account data stored outside your device to request deletion of. Uninstalling the app, or using the in-app deletion option above, permanently removes all of your data.
milebook is intended for use only by individuals who have reached the legal age required to hold a driver's license in their jurisdiction. It is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone below that age.
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the app with an updated effective date.

It does not provide tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice, and its reports and calculations should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice or your own independent records. You are solely responsible for maintaining accurate records for tax and regulatory purposes and should consult a qualified tax professional or accountant regarding your specific obligations. The developer is not liable for any errors, omissions, or consequences arising from reliance on data or reports generated by this app.
